How It Works

From your first call to a verified safe home — here's exactly what to expect working with us.

Five Steps to a Safer Home

We've made the process clear and predictable. No surprises — just a straightforward path to lower radon levels.

1. Contact

Call or fill out our quote form. We'll gather basic info about your home and schedule at your convenience.

2. Test

We place a calibrated test device in your home's lowest livable area and measure radon concentration.

3. Install

If levels are elevated, we design and install a mitigation system — typically in a single day.

4. Verify

A post-installation test confirms that radon has been reduced to safe levels. You get written results.

Radon Testing

We Place the Device and Measure Accurately

We place a calibrated radon test device in your home's lowest occupied level — the basement in most cases, or the first floor if there's no basement. We follow EPA placement guidelines to ensure the result reflects actual exposure conditions.

Short-term tests run for 48 hours. Long-term tests run for 90 days to a year. Electronic monitors capture continuous hourly readings to detect any anomalies.

  • Calibrated, certified equipment — results you can trust
  • We retrieve the device and analyze results promptly
  • Written report provided with your radon level in pCi/L
3
Foundation Inspection & System Design

We Design a System Built for Your Home

If levels exceed the EPA threshold (4 pCi/L), we conduct a thorough inspection of your foundation type, soil conditions, and entry points. Every home is different — a correctly designed system is critical to effective results.

We determine the optimal suction point location, pipe routing path, fan size, and any sealing work required to maximize radon reduction.

  • Works for poured slab, block wall, and crawlspace foundations
  • System design accounts for your home's specific structure
  • Written quote provided before any work begins

System Installation

Installed in One Day — Minimal Disruption

Installation is clean, organized, and typically complete in 3–5 hours. We core drill through the slab, install the PVC vent pipe, mount the fan unit, route the pipe to above the roofline, and seal all visible entry points.

We keep your home clean, explain what we've done, and walk you through how the system operates before we leave. The fan runs continuously and quietly from the moment it's energized.

  • No need to vacate the home during installation
  • All debris cleaned up before we leave
  • System monitor installed so you can verify operation at any time
5
Post-Installation Verification

We Don't Leave Until It's Confirmed Working

After installation, we place a post-mitigation test device. We return 48 hours later to retrieve it and confirm that radon levels have been reduced below the EPA's recommended threshold.

You receive a written test result showing before and after levels. This documentation is useful for home sales, insurance, and your own records.

  • Post-install test always included at no extra charge
  • If levels haven't dropped enough, we come back — no charge
  • Written documentation for your records and future home sales
